Active plasmonics: plasmonic sources and detectors
Applications are invited for 2 full-time PhD studentships in the
Nano-optics and Near-field Spectroscopy Group
(http://www.nano-optics.org.uk) at the Queen’s University of Belfast to
work on the projects within the UK Research Programme “Active
Plasmonics” (http://www.activeplasmonics.org). The projects involve
fabrication and optical characterisation of advanced plasmonic
nanostructures and plasmonic circuits. In addition to exciting science,
the project will require travelling to collaborating laboratories at
Imperial College London and interactions with industrial partners.
The studentships are for 4 years and cover tuition fees and a stipend.
The studentships are available immidiately but no later than October 2010.
Applications should be made on-line by visiting link
https://qolps.qub.ac.uk/home/ and quoting the project title “Active
Plasmonics”.
